Job Title: Behavior Technician (BT)
Type of Position: Part or Full Time
Position Objective: The BT provides direct therapy in a 1:1 or group setting in the home, school, or community environments utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies. The BT is responsible for implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction procedures with 100% fidelity. The Behavior Technician will complete all of clients direct care hours under the supervision of a BCBA. The Behavior Technician is required to acquire and maintain RBT certification within 6 months of hire date.
Responsibilities

Provide direct therapy in a 1:1 or group setting in the school, home, or community based environments utilizing the principals of ABA

Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction procedures developed by BCBA
-
Collect data to measure the progress and effectiveness of the goals on clients’ individualized treatment plan
-
Attend and participate in regular team meetings and training workshops as needed

Follow the policy and procedures of Janet Hansen, Ph.D, BCBA-D, LLC
-
Work under close and ongoing supervision from supervising BCBA
-
Comply with all BACB requirements to receive supervision and provide behavior analysis-related services

Receive and maintain RBT certification within 6 months of hire date

Material development as instructed by supervising BCBA

Participate in and attend mandatory staff meetings
-
Ensure therapy area is kept clean prior to and following sessions by ensuring materials are put back in their original locations

Check and respond to company emails daily (during work week)

Communication with clients, parents, and supervising BCBA regarding client progress
Qualifications
-
Must be at least 18 years old
-
At least 2 years of completed college coursework
-
Valid Ohio driver’s license
-
Current automobile insurance
-
Successfully complete and clear a BCI/FBI check at the time of application
Training
-
Classroom training for a minimum of 10-15 hours
-
On the job field training
-
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training provided and compensated for
Critical Requirements
-
Must be able to physically lift and carry up to 20 pounds
-
Reliable transportation to clients’ home and other various locations in community
-
Be able to run, bend down, sit on floor, kneel, and squat
